Unlike the annual adjustment, which only updates rates based on inflation, the periodic tariff review is a broader process in which... ANEEL It re-evaluates the costs, investments, and operational parameters of the concessionaires to redefine the level of tariffs.
This process generally occurs every four years for most distributors. In the case of Copel, the cycle is five years and aims to rebalance tariffs based on operational costs and investments made by the concessionaire.
"The factors that contributed most to the readjustment rates (of Copel) were costs related to energy transmission and sector charges, in addition to the removal of financial components from the previous tariff process," it informed. ANEEL.
