Photovoltaic tracker manufacturers Arctech Solar, Array Technologies, GameChange Solar, IDEEMATEC, Nextracker, PVH, Soltec and TrinaTracker approved the compatibility of their products with solar panels of cells from 210mm ultra-high power.

“Approvals for compatibility between panels and trackers by companies demonstrate their recognition of the high value and solid support behind the 210mm cell panels, in terms of promoting full collaboration, which will facilitate grid parity on a global level,” Trina Solar said in a statement.

Furthermore, the manufacturer stated that compatibility with ultra-high power panels will also increase the importance of the tracker system and contribute to cost reduction in the most diverse scenarios.

Also according to Trina's note, panels with a low voltage design can perform a greater string, reducing the number of strings, the value of PV DC cables and the LCOE, emphasizing gains in the area of energy generation and cost advantages of high-power modules.

“In addition, low voltage panels facilitate the reduction of area in the system design, consequently reducing the BOS (system balance) of the tracker. Labor costs can also drop when the number of trackers decreases. In other words, the combination of trackers and panels will achieve high power generation, with low costs and minimized losses”, added the manufacturer in a note.

The company also highlighted that, in addition to increasing the value of the system, the trackers' compatibility with 210mm cell panels increases the mutually beneficial cooperation present in the industry.
