Focus Energia, an integrated electric energy business platform, presented something new: it defined the indicative price range for its initial public offering (IPO) between R$ 21.20 and R$ 28.60. Pricing should take place on February 4th this year.

Considering the average projection of R$ 24.90, the company's IPO is expected to generate approximately R$ 1 billion.

According to the company, the resources will be used in energy efficiency programs, mainly with the adoption of solar sources, with the aim of reselling energy production to the free market.

The idea is to build a project called Futura, located in the city of Juazeiro (BA), which would be, according to the company, one of the largest in Brazil and the world, with the potential to generate up to 3 GW of power. In total, there will be two photovoltaic plants with more than 671 MW. The planned investment for them is R$ 2.2 billion each.

BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) and BNB (Banco do Nordeste) are in negotiations with Focus for financing. Another possibility is the issuance of infrastructure debentures.

According to the company, distributed energy generation is also being seen as an alternative to structuring other sustainable projects.
