Government intends to buy solar energy for Minha Casa, Minha Vida

According to the Minister of Cities, the objective is to replace the installation of panels with the purchase of solar energy from photovoltaic farms

According to the Minister of Cities, the objective is to replace the installation of panels with the purchase of solar energy from photovoltaic farms

During event da CNI (National Confederation of Industry), accomplished na Monday (18), in New York, United States or minister of Cities, Jader Filho, stated that government intends to send ao Congress um the project all with make viable a purchase de energy renewable for residences do My House, My Life program. 

According to the minister, the objective is to replace the installation of panels in the program's homes with the purchase of solar energy from photovoltaic farms.

“We came to the conclusion that it was better to purchase energy from people who produce solar energy, from the farms that we now have in various examples across the country. So, the same amount that would be invested in acquiring these solar panels will be used to acquire energy from this”, said the minister.

Still according to the minister, the experience in previous editions of the program, the solar panels ended up being sold or not being maintained, which made the continuity of public policy difficult. 

“Since President Lula created the program in 2009, it became noticeable that, in some states, when you applied solar panels to the roofs of houses, it was often sold or not maintained in order to continue with it”, he declared.
