GreenYellow issues R$ 66 million in debentures aimed at energy efficiency

The bonds were issued by the company with Santander acting as the lead coordinating bank for the offering

A GreenYellow announced that issued R$ 66 million in debentures to be injected into energy efficiency projects. According to the company, the Santander acted as lead coordinating bank for the offering.

Three months ago, the company also announced an agreement to Project Finance of R$ 63 million, established with BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development), focusing on construction of 11 solar plants.

This wave of financial movements is in line with company's global strategy, to raise capital via Project Finance, in order to leverage new projects and thus reinforce its positioning as a major infrastructure player. A year ago, for example, they issued R$ 160 million debentures.

“Attracting investments allows us to increasingly enhance our operations within the strategy of investing, building and operating our assets in the long term”, stated Marcelo Xavier, CEO of GreenYellow in Brazil.
