GreenYellow and the Prime Energy, a Shell Group company, signed an agreement to build three more power plants, in addition to the four announced in the second half of 2023.

The new photovoltaic projects contracted, together, will have installed capacity of 16.93 MWp and annual production of 34,800 MWh/year.

All of them are classified within the old regulation of the GD (distributed generation) and should add significantly to the renewable energy generation marketed by Prime Energy.

Two plants will be built in the state of Piauí, in the municipalities of Castelo do Piauí (6.80 MWp) and Lagoa do Piauí (6.74 MWp), while the third will be located in the city of Birigui (3.39 MWp), in the state from Sao Paulo.

The projects that will be implemented in the state of Piauí are within the coverage area of Equatorial PI and the one in the interior of São Paulo belongs to the region served by CPFL Paulista.

According to the companies, the expectation is that around 50 direct jobs will be created, which is a great incentive for work, especially in small cities.

In full expansion of its operations in Brazil, Prime Energy, which maintained its focus on the segments of large retail and telecommunications companies, sees its model based on shared distributed generation growing.

“We plan to operate 100 MWp of Decentralized Generation in 2024, which should position us as one of the largest Shared DG players in Brazil, with operations in 14 concessionaires”, he states Guilherme Perdigão, CEO of Prime Energy.

Following the business model put into practice in all its projects, GreenYellow consolidates itself as a strategic partner for companies within the energy transition sector, as it is responsible for investment and construction, as well as the operation and maintenance of plants after connection. .

“The growth of the Shared DG market has brought many benefits to competitiveness in this segment, multiplying the supply of cheaper, more accessible and renewable energy in several regions of Brazil. In this context, GreenYellow has expanded its business and established key partnerships in the field of solar energy generation”, he emphasizes Marcelo Xavier, president of GreenYellow.
