Huawei, HDT Energy and Ecori Energia Solar signed, this Tuesday (8), an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for the distribution of inverters for commercial and industrial installations of photovoltaic systems.

With the partnership, Ecori starts to sell and distribute the inverters, optimizers and batteries from Huawei throughout the Brazilian market, expanding its product portfolio beyond MLPE solutions (Module-Level Power Electronics).

“Other string solutions already exist in Ecori’s commercial operations. A few years ago, Outlet Solar emerged, with Ecori as part of its shareholders. Now Outlet Solar continues to exist as a brand and this commercial operation is incorporated into Ecori”, stated Rodrigo Matias, commercial director at Ecori.

According to the companies, this agreement follows the growth of photovoltaic solar energy generation in the country, which, according to data from the CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber), increased by 80% in February, compared to the same period in 2021.

“The use of sustainable energy sources is an urgent demand from all industry sectors, and crucial for the development of the world economy. Alongside Ecori, Huawei will be able to expand the supply of intelligent solutions for solar energy generation and accelerate the digitalization of the energy sector with zero-carbon technologies”, highlighted Nelson Stanisci, Solutions Manager at Huawei Digital Power in Brazil.

For Leandro Martins, president of Ecori Energia Solar, expectations are positive regarding the partnership. “Being alongside Huawei will allow us to expand our portfolio of solar energy solutions for commercial installations across the country”, highlighted Leandro Martins.

“Huawei is a pioneer in the string solution for centralized generation, ideal for solar plants and which guarantees energy production between 3 and 4% greater”, says Nelson Stanisci, Solutions Manager at Huawei Digital Power Brasil.

Still according to Stanisci, the market is migrating and understanding the advantages of the string inverter compared to the centralized solution. “This type of technology offers greater availability, shorter replacement times and eliminates the need for a string box (or combiner box), which is a major point of failure in the central inverter solution”, he commented.

“This is the first time that Ecori has sold Huawei products and, for this reason, we could not be happier with the consolidation of this partnership, which will bring many opportunities and market gains for both brands,” said Leandro.

For Leonardo Cyrino, CEO of HDT Energy in Brazil, the company responsible for selling Huawei products in the renewable energy segment, “the partnership with Ecori is very significant for positioning the brand and maintaining its position as one of the largest technology manufacturers of the world".

Currently, Ecori is present in all regions of the country, making all Brazilians potential customers of the best that exists. “Its logistical structure and business model resulted in its exponential growth. We hope that, added to the moment of high consumer engagement with renewable generation, this movement will further reinforce mutual benefits and business evolution”, added Cyrino.

Among the manufacturer's products that will be sold by Ecori are inverter and optimizer solutions for commercial and industrial applications. According to Huawei, its inverters support AFCI intelligent arc protection and automatically shut down in 0.5 seconds, ensuring the safety of the systems.

The signing took place during an event at Huawei's headquarters, in São Paulo (SP), and was attended by Mason Qing, president of Huawei Digital Power Brasil; Fábio Mendes, director of Latam Channels at Huawei Digital Power; Nelson Stanisci, Solutions Manager at Huawei Digital Power Brasil, Leonardo Cyrino, CEO of HDT Energy in Brazil and Leandro Martins, President of Ecori Energia Solar, and Yoni Ziv, Vice President of Ecori Energia Solar.
