INEL creates secretariat to promote green hydrogen in Brazil

O INEL (National Clean Energy Institute) reported that opened an exclusive secretariat to foster and accelerate growth of green hydrogen in Brazil. 

A SHV (Green Hydrogen Secretariat) of INEL will be under the command of Luiz Piauhylino Filho, which has experience in investing in green hydrogen projects in Portugal and Brazil, and will aim to: coordinate and discuss actions with national and international authorities, associations and businesspeople.

To assist him, Frederico Freitas will assume the position of Deputy Secretary of SHV. “We will work towards a low-carbon economy and develop and promote the production of green hydrogen in the country”, he stated Luiz Piauhylino Filho.

Green hydrogen, produced from electricity from clean sources such as hydroelectric, wind, solar or from biomass, biogas, is today a major global bet to help combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere. Find out more below:

  1. It is very opportune for INEL to discuss and encourage the development of renewable source technologies and processes aimed at the energy transition to reduce GHG.
