Intersolar South América, the largest fair in the solar energy sector in South America, which takes place annually in São Paulo, was postponed to August 24th to 26th, 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event was initially scheduled to be held this August and had already been postponed to November this year.
According to the organization, the decision was made together with ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association). Furthermore, all partners involved to prevent the spread of the virus, as Intersolar receives 28 thousand visitors from more than 30 countries.
Another issue raised to define the postponement of the fair was to avoid costs that exhibitors would incur with preparations, without the guarantee that the event would be held by the health authorities and Sanitary Surveillance of the state of São Paulo.
“As the national voice of the Brazilian solar photovoltaic market, ABSOLAR brought strategic feedback from the sector to Solar Promotion International, contributing to the strengthening of responsible decisions in a global Covid-19 pandemic scenario”, said Rodrigo Sauaia, CEO of ABSOLAR . A fair is a large international event that brings together approximately 380 exhibitors from 12 countries.
