LONGi launched its Hi-MO N – bifacial module with TOPCon N-type monocrystalline cells on the first day of SNEC PV Power Expo 2021. The fair is being held at the Shanghai International Convention Center in Shanghai, China. According to the manufacturer, the Hi-MO N – designed for low LCOE for large-scale photovoltaic power plants – maintains 182mm cell and 72-cell panel size. The conversion efficiency is up to 22,3% and the power reaches 570 W.
In addition, the company highlighted that the product can achieve higher bifacial gain, better temperature coefficient and good low-irradiance performance, as well as lower working temperature, better LID (Light Induced Degradation) and PID (Potential Induced Degradation) performance. “The energy yield is 2-3% higher than conventional P-type bifacial modules,” LONGi said, adding that the initial year degradation is less than 1% and the linear degradation is less than 0,4%.
“Calculated over a 30-year life cycle, the conversion efficiency of Hi-MO N panels will be 2,45% higher than that of other conventional products on the market”, highlighted the manufacturer.
Other advantages
LONGi further reported that Hi-MO N can minimize costs associated with structures, cable, inverter and labor. “Its high conversion efficiency can increase installed capacity by more than 3,5% in space-constrained areas and reduce BOS (Balance of System) costs, as well as AC equipment and operations and maintenance costs throughout the plant life cycle.”
