SIMA (Secretariat of Infrastructure and Environment) of São Paulo and ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation) signed a partnership with the objective of implementing programs, projects and activities through DG (distributed generation) of energy using renewable sources in the state.
The Protocol of Intent was signed by the president of ABGD, Carlos Evangelista, by the president of the Association Council, Guilherme de Lucena Crispim and by the SIMA Undersecretary of Infrastructure, Glaucio Attorre Penna, in a virtual meeting held last Thursday (24).
“Distributed generation is a strategic opportunity to boost and boost the economy, providing income generation, quality local jobs and strengthening the state’s production chain,” stated Attorre.

A DG also contributes to the diversification of the electrical matrix increasing energy security as well as reducing transmission losses, in addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The partnership also provides for mutual contribution to technical reports, participation in sectoral forums and promotion of workshops. Furthermore, structuring actions are planned to improve management and management of energy use, development of teaching material and computational tools for studies.
The work plan will be created with steps and goals to be achieved. The partnership does not provide for the transfer of financial resources between the institutions and has a term of 24 months.
