This Thursday (22), the PCJ Consortium will launch the new Casa + Sustentável – a regional environmental education center for the conscious consumption of water, energy and food, located at the entity's headquarters, in Americana (SP).
The event will be broadcast on the company's social networks, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, starting at 11 am. The project is in partnership with CPFL Energia and ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), which invested more than R$3 million in remodeling the space, updating the construction, technologies and interactions with visitors.
The works were delivered in February 2021, but given the restrictions on the movement of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the launch for public viewing will only take place from next year, with no set date yet.
The digital event will have the style of a television program, whereby the public will be led by a presenter on a monitored virtual visit with the participation of authorities, partners and supporters of the project.
During the event, the public will learn more about the rooms of the house and the possibilities for interaction and awareness with the tools available on site. The virtual tour will be available for access this Thursday on the project website (click here).
About Casa + Sustentável
Opened in 2009, the Casa do Consórcio PCJ, located at the entity's headquarters, in Americana (SP), was built with the intention of presenting new, more sustainable forms of construction for the population.
In 2011, the space underwent its first major remodeling and brought the topic of sustainable decoration to the debates, with the creation of the EcoDecor Model House. This year, the project entered into a partnership with ANEEL and CPFL Energia to modernize the structure, develop a new educational project and invest resources in new attractions. The name of the place also changed and became Casa + Sustentável, instead of Casa Modelo.
In total, the space now has 12 environments, where visitors can delve into the history of efficient use of electrical energy and conscious water consumption. The attractions feature themed and interactive environments, where visitors can see the impact that sustainable measures have on people's lives and the environment.
