Correios installs carport with bifacial panels

Estimated annual savings with the project are more than R$300 in electrical energy for the state-owned company

Os post offices inaugurated in the Headquarters Building, in Brasília (DF), a carport, shelter for vehicles covered by solar panels, which will have four charging stations for electric cars.

A annual savings estimated with this action is more than R$300 in electricity for the state-owned company. The 116 vacancies are rotating and available to the building's employees.

According to the company, the 891 bifacial solar panels installed in the capable of generating 552.092 kWh of energy per year, avoiding the emission of around 280 tons of CO2 and providing savings on expenses with the local dealership.

In addition, the space has a masonry guardhouse and vehicle access control, horizontal and vertical signage with information to guide users and LED lighting.

This action is linked to the Strategic Project “Implementation of Energy Efficiency in Correios”, in accordance with the Public Administration Environmental Agenda (A3P) program of the Ministry of the Environment.

“All employees of this company deserve to have a quality of life and decent conditions to carry out their work”, highlighted Maria do Carmo Lara Perpétuo, Economic-Financial, Technology and Information Security director at Correios.
