For the second week consecutive, O wafer price in the international market it fell. That's what the weekly newsletter from the InfoLink Consulting, released this Thursday (21).

A greater oscillation was worth the 182 mm P-Type wafers, which suffered a drop of 4.8%, being sold at US$ 0.236 per piece.

Meanwhile, 210mm P-Type wafers fell 3.6%, with each piece sold at US$ 0.325.

The survey also points out that the stocks of wafers continued to increase, getting at four billion pieces last week. A production should not decrease, according to InfoLink Consulting.

Due to the time required for adjustments, both in production plans and the reduction in inventories, the circulation of wafers should only be impacted from the mid April

With current planning, prices should continue to fall over the next few weeks in evaluating the international report.

Check out these and other highlights from the global photovoltaic chain in the new weekly newsletter from InfoLink Consulting.

Cells

Production of photovoltaic cells remained stable, with manufacturers holding a week of stocks, a stark contrast to the wafer sector.

Despite the maintenance of cell prices this week, the consultancy predicts a drop of up to 3% in cell prices next week. This forecast includes both TOPCon and Type-P technology.

Modules

Module values remained stable, although some manufacturers still seek to increase prices. Even with the “pessimism” regarding other inputs and components, the price of the modules should not undergo major changes in InfoLink Consulting’s understanding.
