The production value of China's photovoltaic industry in 2022 it was RMB1,4 trillion (US $ 203,5 billion), according to the report Operation of the PV Manufacturing Industry in China in 2022 published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The document pointed out that production at all links in China's photovoltaic industry chain reached a record high, where polysilicon, silicon wafers, cells and modules reached 827.000 tons, 357 GW, 318 GW and 288,7 GW, respectively, equivalent to year-on-year growth of more than 55%.

Bohua Wang, honorary president of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, highlighted that there was 87,41 GW of newly installed capacity in China in 2022.

Also according to the executive, China's photovoltaic exports reached US$51,2 billion, of which modules represented US$42,36 billion, silicon wafers US$5,07 billion and cells US$ 3,82 billion.
