A Qn-Solar Has as focus strategic to TOPCon technology for next three, four years, leveraging its significant advantages in solar energy to provide cost-effective, high-performance solar solutions to customers around the world.

That's what he said Stephen Cai, Chief Executive Officer da company. According to him, the manufacturer has plans to reach 36 GW em N-Type cells until the end of 2024, reaching a total of 69 GW of N-Type + P-Type. “We are reshaping the photovoltaic generation landscape with the bold ambition of securing 80% of N-type panel shipments.”

“From 2014 to 2024, the capacity installed of our projects achieved 15 GW. In fact, our own photovoltaic plant assets exceeded 1,5 GW,” she added.

According to the executive, the solar industry is on the edge of a transformation to Olos technology popularization of the technology of TOPCon solar cells. “This innovative approach represents a significant advancement over PERC and PERT cells, promising greater efficiency and performance.”

“TOPCon cells, with their striking similarity to PERC/PERT cells, can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines with minimal adjustments. Understand a structure and process de manufacture the TOPCon cells é crucial to take advantage of its potential”, he emphasized.

Advantages of TOPCon technology

According to Cai, TOPCon technology can achieve an annual efficiency improvement rate of 0,5% to 0,6%. Furthermore, it is compatible with PERC production lines, facilitating large-scale and low-cost production of high-performance photovoltaic equipment, which provides more benefits to customers.

“Compared to conventional solar technologies such as PERC/PERT, TOPCon presents superior resistance to impurities and greater stability, resulting in greater product efficiency”, he reported.

Furthermore, he emphasized that such technology promises an exceptional return on investment, with a shorter payback period compared to PERC and HJT, typically requiring only five to six years to recover the initial investment.

“Theoretical projections suggest that within five years, TOPCon technology will approach HJT's efficiency level, indicating significant market potential,” estimated the CEO of Qn-Solar.

“Despite facing competition from emerging technologies such as HJT (heterojunction) and IBC (Interdigitated Back-Contacted) cells, TOPCon is poised to play a key role in shaping the future of solar energy,” he said.

Expansion in Europe and Brazil

One of the company's objectives, highlighted by Stephen Cai, is a strategic expansion across Europe, with aspirations of providing 320 GW of solar photovoltaic capacity by 2025 and almost doubling to 600 GW by 2030.

“The TOPCon technology journey marks a transformative phase in our industry, with proven efficiencies and advancements paving the way for a bright future. As it matures and costs decrease, Qn-SOLAR's TOPCon modules are prepared to lead the charge towards a sustainable energy scenario”, concluded the executive.
