The company Raízen, in partnership with Plataforma Capital, invested R$ 10 million in the startup Tupinambá Energia.
According to the companies, the idea for the investment arose from the purpose of speeding up the development of the charging network in the country, leveraging the software and application created by Tupinambá.
“Amidst a strong and necessary discussion about innovation and technology, the key to Tupinambá’s success is to focus our solution on the electric car owner’s experience. To achieve this, we spare no effort and serve in an end-to-end model, helping the partner in all stages of the Electric Mobility adoption process”, points out Davi Bertoncello, CEO of Tupinambá.
“The partnership with Raízen and Plataforma Capital comes precisely to advance further in building a unique experience for our customers”, he adds.
Tupinambá, created in 2019, specializes in developing vehicle electrical charging solutions in Brazil. Operating with electricity supply infrastructure, the beneficiary has a digital platform integrated with a network of charging stations.

In this way, the partnership between Raízen and the startup will offer solutions to the market jointly. In strategic analysis, there is the possibility of the company converting its investment and becoming a partner of Tupinambá.
According to Raízen, the partnership with the startup brings an advantage to the company, as this agreement guarantees to accelerate the growth strategy in renewables and complement and integrate its portfolio in electromobility.
In addition to presenting supply solutions for company fleets and the supply of renewable energy, the development of a broad charging network is included with the Shell Recharge program, announced at the end of 2021, as a tool.
