Ranking shows the manufacturers that imported the most modules in 2023

The Top 10 companies were responsible for 77% of the imported volume last year, according to a study by Greener

Among the 90 brands that provided photovoltaic modules for Brazil, the Top 10 companies were responsible for 77% do imported volume in the year of 2023, compared to 81% in 2022.

The data was released by greener, in your new strategic study on the solar energy DG (distributed generation) market. According to the consultancy, the Jinko Solar appears in first place as the manufacturer that imported the most panels last year, with 3.402 MWp.

In second place is the Canadian Solar (3.361 MWp), followed by JA Solar (1.440 MWp); Risen Energy (1.134 MWp); Sunova Solar (968 MWp); LONGi (966 MWp); Trina Solar (740 MWp), TSUN (539 MWp); Astronergy (532 MWp); It is Osda Solar (466 MWp).

Imported volume: GD and GC

Another point emphasized by Greener is that 17,5 GW nationalized in 2023 represented a slight reducing de 1,7% in relation to last year, which stood out for the records achieved in the Brazilian market.

Of the total volume nationalized last year, 11,4 GW (66%) were intended to meet the market de GD, representing a reduction of 2 GW in relation to the capacity demanded in 2022. The remaining 6,1 GW (34%) were intended for market de GC (centralized generation).

According to the strategic study, in the 4th quarter of 2023 the imports reached more than 5 GW, highest historical quarterly volume.
