Three of the four Brazilian subsystems should close the month of April on reservoir levels above 70%, being the Sul the exception, with 56,8%., according to an estimate published by ONS (National Electric System Operator).

For the other regions, the forecasts are as follows: North on 96,5%, o Northeast on 77,5%.And Southeast/Midwest on 74,4%.

“The prospects for cargo behavior are growth in without (National Interconnected System) and throughout Brazil”, highlights the Operator, warning that the acceleration should be 8,2%, around 80.053 MWmed.

The biggest advances are projected for the reservoirs in the South subsystem, with 10,3% (13.893 MWmed), and for the Northeast, with 9,0% (13.287 MWmed).

Load in the Southeast/Central-West is expected to expand 7,7% (45.402 MWmed), while in the North it is expected to register an increase of 6,1% (7.471 MWmed).

According to the ONS, the numbers are comparisons between estimates for April 2024 and those seen in the same period in 2023.
