Aiming to expand the brand in Brazil, the German photovoltaic inverter manufacturer SMA recently opened a customs warehouse, located in Itajaí (SC).

Located in Itajaí (SC), SMA's warehouse will be operated by Multilog. According to the manufacturer, the company specialized in logistics was chosen because it meets the strict international standard of logistics control processes and corporate governance requirements of the German multinational.

Also according to the SMA, Brazilian demand has increased in recent years in the solar market, which has motivated the expansion of stocks in Brazil.

The manufacturer had already opened a new headquarters in the state of São Paulo in the first half of 2022, however, the decision to open in the southern state will have different focuses than the existing stock.

“We already had a national stock, in São Paulo, with equipment aimed at serving the Technical Assistance and Warranty area, but this new stock is completely different and aims to reduce the time for replenishment in the distribution channels”, reveals Henrique Almeida, Sales Manager at SMA.

The executive also comments on the company's investment in the Brazilian market, which should be further explored in the coming years due to the change in consumer behavior when looking for equipment.

“Integrators are already noticing the different levels of quality between products and are now starting to look for those brands that guarantee greater energy availability, reliability and useful life. Distributors have also sought to include a premium brand in their portfolio of offers to integrators”, he adds.

SMA also announced an upgrade across its entire line of inverters, industrial and residential, incorporating into all inverter models the new functionality called Arcfix – protection against electric arcs, which guarantees greater safety for installations.

“SMA is a pioneer in the global solar sector, with more than 41 years of experience, one of the leaders in global installed base and the European brand with the highest bankability according to Bloomberg. This brings security in relation to the reliability and guarantee of your products”, adds the sales manager.
