Sol Agora enters the market to democratize the use of solar energy

With Brookfield as its main investor, fintech estimates financing R$ 200 million photovoltaic kits in Brazil

A startup Sun Now Arrived to photovoltaic market Brazilian and aims to meet the demand of homes and companies that seek to adopt the use of cost-effective solar energy.

The organization has a partnership with the photovoltaic equipment distributor Aldo Solar and its main investor is Brookfield, one of the largest asset managers in the world with US$ 725 billion assets in over 30 countries. 

According to the company, its arrival simplifies the processes for acquiring the technology, facilitating everything from the sales journey to the installation of solar generators, for integrators, sellers and consumers.

The corporation's main objective is to support families, small and medium-sized businesses in installing DG systems (distributed generation) solar energy, helping to decarbonization in the environment. Also according to Sol Agora, the estimate is to finance R$ 200 million to obtain photovoltaic kits in 2022, with affordable financing plans and flexible installments for the consumer. 

"We are one fintech that came to differentiate and add value to the ecosystem of energy transition in Brazil, facilitating the decarbonization of homes. The country has reached the milestone of 1 million homes with solar generators installed, but there is still a long delay in terms of the maturity of the solar energy ecosystem. There is a huge space in the market to be explored”, he commented. Antonio Nuno Verças, CEO of Sol Agora.

Financial solutions

For make the use of solar energy more accessible, the company works with financial solutions to disseminate photovoltaic technology digitally, effectively and with social responsability.

“We want to guarantee a simple and 100% digital that allows the customer to contract the installment plan and the integrator to be able to quickly proceed with the system sales and installation process. We will also form the bridge between the integrator and the distributor”, he added.

“We will be responsible for delivering the value of the equipment to the distributor and, to the integrator, the value of the service. Furthermore, we will focus on monitoring the equipment installed and financed by us to ensure continuous communication about the most efficient use of the energy generated”, concluded Verças.
