Solar Maxx, a Brazilian distributor operating in the solar energy sector since 2019, is facing a serious financial and administrative crisis that has impacted its entire logistics chain.
As a result, the company has encountered difficulties in fulfilling its commitments to integrators and customers, becoming the target of numerous criticisms and complaints for failure to meet deadlines and deliveries.
On the Reclame Aqui website, the company is rated "not recommended," with a rating of 2,9 out of 10 over the last six months. During that period, more than 700 complaints were filed, with only 10,4% of consumers saying they would do business with the brand again.
Reports of damage and disruption
Ao Canal Solar, consumers and integrators reported financial losses and disruptions. Former retired military police officer Cleudis de Araújo said he hired the company in March of this year to install a photovoltaic system in his home.
The agreement called for installation to be completed within 60 days, with payments to begin only in the third month. However, the system was never delivered. Araújo has already paid off three installments of the loan and intends to file a lawsuit against the company.
"I terminated my solar energy subscription contract with another company to save even more with the Solar Maxx system. But since nothing was installed, I'm going to suspend payment and pursue my rights in court," he stated.
Similar problems have also been reported by former company employees. "Clients are demanding immediate cancellation. Many serious professionals are being harmed and having their reputations compromised," one reported.
Solar Maxx's Positioning
On social media, the company's CEO, André Conchão, recorded a video explaining the situation to customers. "We had an administrative, financial, and logistical problem within the company. This forced us to enter a period of restructuring," he said.
According to the executive, this process has caused a series of side effects in the operation. "At no point do I want you (consumers) to think that you've been deceived," he continued.
Conchão also stated that, despite the challenges, the company will continue to support customers. "You won't see André and all the people behind the scenes disappearing. We will serve every customer and we are taking on this responsibility, because we are not cowards," he commented.
The CEO also apologized and asked for consumers' understanding. "As part of this restructuring, we've cut costs to stay in the market and get through this time (of crisis)," he stated.
