Inverter manufacturer SolarEdge told the press that it intends to raise up to US$ 500 million through a private offering. According to the company, the net proceeds will be for general corporate purposes. The precise details of the offer, including the initial conversion price and interest rate, were not disclosed by the manufacturer.
However, the company stated that they should be confirmed at a later date. Furthermore, it said the notes will mature on September 15, 2025, unless they are redeemed or converted at an earlier date.
In August, the manufacturer released its second quarter financial results, where it was pointed out that the company's revenue ended with an amount of US$ 331.9 million. An increase of 2% compared to the second quarter of 2019, when revenue was US$ 325 million.
On the occasion, Zivi Lando, CEO of SolarEdge, highlighted the company's positive result. “This quarter, despite the challenges caused by Covid-19, we maintained healthy profitability by generating cash from operational activity,” he highlighted.
