The government of São Paulo announced, last Thursday (30), a new line of credit, in the order of R$300 million, aimed exclusively at financing the acquisition of solar energy systems and equipment for Santas Casas and philanthropic hospitals.

The financing can cover up to 100% of the implementation, interest-free, with a payment period of up to six years and a grace period of 12 months. The contribution will ensure that defaulters have the fixed interest portion fully subsidized, and only pay with Selic.

“With photovoltaic energy they will save up to 90% on their electricity bills and behave appropriately, environmentally responsible. A short-term return, easy and quick to implement and reducing carbon emissions”, said João Dória, governor of São Paulo.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the new line of credit, called ESG Saúde, was designed by the state government team, who highlighted that the amount saved with solar could later be directed to strengthening the hospitals' service capacity.

Charitable and assistance entities that provide SUS services in the health sector in the state of São Paulo can request credit through the website www.desenvolvesp.com.br.
