O Government of Tocantins opened a Public Consultation to present technical, economic-financial and legal modeling studies for future bidding for the implementation, operation and maintenance of photovoltaic plants in part of state public bodies.

The Public Consultation will be available for 30 calendar days starting this Monday (21). The project foresees the contracting of PPP (Public-Private Partnership) to meet the energy demand of public buildings that make up the infrastructure of education, health and other Executive bodies and entities.

Participation is open to individuals or legal entities who are interested in the topic. Interested parties can participate by analyzing the documents and forms available on the link. The deadline for sending contributions is 11:59 pm on March 22, 2022.

Viability study

After following the procedures until the signing of the contract with the probable concessionaires, only in 2022, the study predicts that the State of Tocantins will receive R$ 157 million in investment from the private sector. During the 25-year term of the contract with the eventual company that wins the tender, Tocantins will achieve estimated savings of R$ 1 billion.

Environment

With the change in the energy matrix, Tocantins will have reduced carbon emissions into the atmosphere by more than 2 tons per year, the equivalent of the carbon dioxide absorbed annually by 130 thousand trees, said the Organ.
