O UNIFAI (Adamantina University Center) invested R$4 million for the solar panel installation No. campus II to own energy consumption.

The project is the result of a the partnership to Olos technology Ourolux Solar and will help the university to reduce CO2 emissions in 443 tons per year, in addition to generating a savings of R$1 million annually.

The project will be able to supply also the energy demand of campus I and III. With a power of 900 kWp, the plant will gerar around 116 MWh per month and has a payback estimated four years.

“Ourolux also promoted training for the entire University Center team. We are proud to contribute to yet another action that favors innovation and sustainability”, highlights Rafael Carneiro, Commercial Director at Ourolux Solar.

1.637 550 Wp modules were installed. Block 1 of the campus has two 100 kW inverters, in addition to a 200 kVa 415V – 220V transformer.

In block 2, two inverters were installed, but these were 80 kW and 60 kW, respectively, with a 220 kVA 415 V – 220V transformer. In the third block, there were two 100 kW inverters and a 280 kVA 415V – 220V transformer.

For Alexandre Teixeira de Souza, rector of UNIFAI, the project also allows resources to be reallocated to other areas, and promotes employee appreciation.

“We will be able to use the money that would be spent on energy on renovations and the acquisition of new equipment. Furthermore, the savings generated by the installation of the photovoltaic plant will be used to increase the value of employees, with resources allocated to health and career plans, for example,” he stated.
