A ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation) announced, during the opening of the online GD Norte Forum, that it is preparing a guide on public policies applicable to the Legal Amazon.
The objective is to show how DG (distributed generation) can bring benefits to the region, which has a predominantly fossil energy matrix.
According to Carlos Evangelista, president of the association, the material will provide information so that mayors, councilors, managers and various leaders can apply the activity towards the development and wealth of their communities.
“Public agents must consider the potential for social transformation of DG, which can generate employment and income, boosting the regional economy”, highlighted Evangelista.
The executive also highlighted that with the use of solar energy, the region could save on its electricity bill, which would be essential since the Amazon has many isolated communities, powered by high-cost thermal plants due to the difficult logistics of acquiring electricity. fuel.
During the online event, Marco Antônio Vilella, executive secretary of Mining at the State Secretariat for Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation of Amazonas, said that only 20% of the state's energy matrix is renewable, while the other 80% is divided between natural gas this is Leo. However, the ministry's goal, according to him, is to expand the renewable percentage by 2030.
