For the fourth week consecutive, the price of wafers fell in international market. This is what the InfoLink Bulletin, released this Thursday (04), states.

A main difference cost was due to the 210mm P-type wafers, which oscillated 8%, now sold at US$ 0.287 per piece. Meanwhile, the 182mm P-type part is priced at US$ 0.211, drop of 5.4%.

Check it out below other highlights of the global photovoltaic chain present in the weekly newsletter most recent of InfoLink.

Cells

With the price of wafers constantly falling, at least in China the value of cells began to be affected. However, the component production remained stable over the last week.

In China, P-Type cells, both 182mm and 210mm, dropped just under 3% in its value in RMB (Yuan). Furthermore, TOPCon technology fell 6% this last week.

Modules

Module manufacturers began delivering new orders this week, mainly for utility-scale projects.

In April, the panel market will remain under pressure. It is estimated that the monthly production volume will reach 58 GW – an increase of 4% in planning, when compared to the end of March.

Other highlights

In the Chinese domestic market, there were changes in addition to P-type wafers, but these did not affect values on the international market.

Modules with PERC technology presented variations between 2% and 3%. Those with TOPCon technology also suffered a small change, of around 1%, in their value.

Polysilicon, on the other hand, showed price fluctuations, both granular and sold in pieces. The fluctuations were 5% and 6%, respectively.
