A ABSOLATE (Brazilian Association of Solar Photovoltaic Energy) and ABM (Brazilian Association of Municipalities) announced a cooperation agreement to expand the solar fountain in urban and rural areas of municipalities across the country.

The agreement aims to attract new investments to Brazilian cities, generate more jobs and income for the population and stimulate the development of new business opportunities for entrepreneurs, in addition to expanding solar access to rural producers and public buildings.

According to the entities, among the partnership's work priorities are the exchange of information and carrying out actions to promote matters of common interest in relation to the development of public policies, programs and municipal incentives for the use of photovoltaic energy in Brazilian cities.

In addition, the agreement provides for the identification of entrepreneurs in the solar sector interested in investing in cities, the sharing of market information nationally and regionally, the assessment of business trends, the improvement of the regulatory and legal environment and cooperation in events and joint actions, inside and outside Brazil.

“With this partnership, we guarantee greater access to the use of photovoltaic technology by consumers in homes, businesses, industries, rural properties and public buildings, helping to save on electricity bills, protecting against tariff increases and bringing greater autonomy and electrical independence, in addition to increase the value of properties and increase the sustainability of consumers”, highlighted Rodrigo Sauaia, executive president of ABSOLAR.
