ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) signed, this Monday (05), the concession contracts for 10 lots of transmission lines that were won at the auction held in December 2020, at B3, in São Paulo (SP) .

According to the Agency, companies can now start work on the works, which are expected to generate investments of more than R$ 7 billion and 15 thousand jobs in nine states: Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul , Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo.

Only Lot 1, in Goiás, is under analysis and will be signed later. “The result of this auction shows investors’ confidence in our government, in our country. More than ever, it is time to generate jobs and income for our population. My congratulations to ANEEL for the work. Brazil cannot stop”, said Bento Albuquerque, minister of Mines and Energy.

In 2020, we held the largest auction in the country's infrastructure segment, even in the midst of the crisis caused by the pandemic. ANEEL promotes regulatory security, already enshrined in reports from the two main risk assessment agencies in the world, Standard & Poor's and Moody's, with investors having confidence in the rules and contracts they will sign”, commented André Pepitone, director -general of ANEEL.
