ANEEL releases Canadian plant for commercial operation

ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) authorized the commercial operation of the Ciranda 5 Energias Renováveis photovoltaic plant, operated by equipment manufacturer Canadian Solar.

The 172 generating units total 32 MW of installed capacity, located in the municipality of São José do Belmonte, in the state of Pernambuco. The authorization, published in the Official Gazette, is valid from April 4th.

In total, the Ciranda Solar project will require R$ 900 million of investment. When completed, it will have 312 MWp of installed capacity.
