Competitions aim to meet the demand of the regulated market for the next three years

A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) promotes this Friday (02), from 10 am, the lA-1 and A-2 energy auctions of 2022 to the contracting existing plants. 

The competitions aim to meet the demand of the regulated market for the next three years.

Contracts will be negotiated at modality by quantity for any source, with a ceiling price of R$ 140 per MWh in the A-1 auction and R$ 150 per MWh in A-2.

According to the Agency, the supply will be made between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024 for auction A-1.

As for the A-2 auction, it will be held between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025.

All stages of the event will be held in virtual format and the public will be able to follow the status of the negotiation via CCEE website (Electricity Trading Chamber). 

Public Consultation

ANEEL informed that it will also open, this Thursday (01), a public consultation for society's suggestions on the notice for Transmission Auction No. 1 of 2023. 

The document under analysis deals with the bidding for nine lots for the construction and maintenance of 6,122 km of transmission lines and 400 MVA in substation transformation capacity. 

The event is scheduled for June 30, 2023 at B3's headquarters, in São Paulo. 33 projects will be offered, with a forecast of investments of R$ 16 billion, in addition to the creation of 31,800 new jobs.

The projects have a construction completion period of 36 to 66 months in the states of Bahia, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Sergipe.
