A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) promoted, this Wednesday (19), a meeting with 16 associations of electrical sector at the entity's headquarters, in Brasília, to to discuss issues that will guide regulation and the segment in 2023.
The meeting was attended by representatives of distribution, transmission, generation, commercialization and consumption sectors. The conversations took place separately with representatives from each of the sectors.
In the morning, ABRADEE (Brazilian Association of Electricity Distributors) and ABRADEMP (Brazilian Association of Smaller Electricity Distributors) discussed issues relating to distribution with the directors and superintendents of the areas.
Then, representatives of the ABRATE (Brazilian Association of Electric Energy Transmission Companies) and IDTE (Institute for the Development and Research of Energy Transmission) discussed issues relating to transmission.
Already in the afternoon, ANEEL executives spoke with representatives from four other energy sector associations on topics related to energy regulation, commercialization and consumption in Brazil.
The conversation involved: ABRACE (Brazilian Association of Large Energy Consumers and Free Consumers; ABRACEEL (Brazilian Association of Energy Traders), IDEC (Brazilian Institute for Consumer Protection, and ANACE (National Association of Energy Consumers) .
Finally, eight more groups linked to discussions related to the generation sector were also heard, with emphasis on the presence of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy) and ABRAGE (Brazilian Association of Electric Energy Generating Companies).
O Solar Channel learned from ABSOLAR that the meeting included discussions that involved the need to regulate Law No. 14,300/2022, aiming to guarantee legal security and predictability for the sector, and synergistic agendas with solar sources, especially energy storage and hydrogen green.
ABSOLAR also highlighted in the report the need to simplify access to transmission lines and distribution networks for small, medium and large solar projects.
“The meeting held yesterday between the board and technicians of ANEEL, within a new agenda created by the regulator to discuss the main topics with the main entities in the electricity sector, was very cordial and constructive”, pointed out the Association.
