A ABHIC (Brazilian Association of Hydrogen and Sustainable Fuels) announced the arrival of Milton Francisco dos Santos Junior, advisor to the business development department at Copel (Companhia Paranaense de Energia), as member of the entity's board of directors.

Created in August this year, with the aim of promoting the hydrogen and sustainable fuels in the country, the ABHIC has mobilized to obtain more and more recognition in the Brazilian market, in order to build lasting relationships with companies in Brazil and around the world.

In this sense, the arrival of executives to be part of the group of professionals on the entity's board of directors is one of the points being organized by the association.

The choice of Milton Santos for the position is, according to ABHIC, due to the fact that the Copel ser a concession company that has been carrying out research on hydrogen since the 1990s, pioneering some studies on the topic at a national level.

Recently, the concessionaire began to structure itself to enable sustainable and profitable businesses around the hydrogen economy, a segment in which it also has pilot projects underway.

“Copel’s participation in the ABHIC board of directors brings benefits to both parties, as the association provides a very positive environment for exchanging experiences to join forces and make the hydrogen economy viable in practice in Brazil, whose potential is enormous” , said Milton Santos.
