Green tariff flag remains in force for the month of May

A ANEEL(National Electric Energy Agency) released last Friday (26th) which, for the month of May, The flag tariff green follows current.

Furthermore, the Agency stated than with conditions favorable for the generation of electrical energy in the country, there will be no cost additional on consumers' electricity bills, the scenario that if maintained for 25 months, since April 2022.

Created in 2015, the flags tariffs Has as goal help the consumer to to understand the time of to save money and understand the value of energy generation from month.

"A ANEEL reinforces the importance of awareness and the responsible use of electrical energy, even in favorable periods. Energy saving contributes to the preservation of the resources natural and for the sustainability of electrical sector as a whole”, stated the Agency.

What are the tariff flags?

The tariff flags aim to help the consumer understand when to save and understand the value of the month's energy generation.

Green Flag: good generation conditions. The fare is not subject to any increase.

Yellow Flag: Less favorable generation conditions. The tariff increases by R$1.874 for every 100 kWh consumed.

Red Flag – Level 1: Poor generation conditions. The tariff increases by R$3.971 for every 100 kWh consumed.

Red Flag – Level 2: Pretty bad generation conditions. The tariff increases by R$9.49 for every 100 kWh consumed.

Water scarcity flag: Tariff created for the 2021 drought. The tariff applies an extra R$14.20 for every 100 kWh consumed.
