Part of a photovoltaic plant located in the city of Merefa, in the Kharkiv region, in the northeast of Ukraine, was destroyed on Saturday (28) after bombing in the region.

The information was released to the local press by Volodymyr Ranchkovsky, manager of the solar energy station. According to authorities, there were no casualties and power at the site has already been restored.

'There is a solar power plant here to produce solar electricity for Ukraine. This evening there were two arrivals, Iskander rockets from Belgorod. The station was built on credit. Previously, there was a city dump, we bought and cleaned all the garbage. We worked for 1.5 years. We didn’t have time to gain anything, everything was destroyed,” Ronchakovsky told the newspaper Correspondent.

'In part some panels, some inverters remained, but the station was basically destroyed. A large amount of money will be spent on renovation,' added the manager.
