On June 22, the Federal Government launched the 2021/2022 Harvest Plan. In this cycle, it became more ecological, strengthening the ABC, Inovagro and Proirriga programs, and included financing for sustainable agricultural development.
In the midst of this scenario, the BYD and BNDES/Finame (Special Industrial Financing Agency) announced a partnership to assist in the registration of installers and distributors who are seeking opportunities with small, medium and large producers who wish to use renewable energy in their businesses.
“BYD has national manufacturing with all modules included in Finame. Therefore, the Safra Plan is an important stimulator. Agribusiness, which is already a large user of photovoltaic energy in Brazil, will certainly grow even more”, says Adalberto Maluf, Director of Marketing and Sustainability at BYD.

“We are impressed with the speed at which BNDES meets the demands of the renewable energy sector through Finame. Agribusiness is one of the main pillars of the economy in Brazil and, by adding the strength of photovoltaic generation with rural producers, I am sure that great fruits will be harvested”, highlights Marcelo Taborda, commercial manager at BYD.
According to the company, farmers interested in implementing a photovoltaic solar energy generating system can contact an installer in the region and request Finame financing with BYD products.
