A BYD will present its complete solution in clean energy generation and storage, electric mobility and green logistics to visitors who go to the Intermodal 2023, considered the largest logistics, cargo transportation and foreign trade event in the Americas.
The 27th edition of Intermodal, which takes place between February 28th and March 2nd, at the São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo (SP), is expected to bring together 500 exhibiting brands and receive approximately 40,000 visitors over the three days.
According to the company, the main launch will be the new reach truck RTR 20, with a load capacity of two tons. “BYD is a pioneer and revolutionized the Brazilian 100% electric forklift market.”
“It was the first brand to arrive in the country with models equipped with a lithium battery. Now, we present the new RTR 20 reach truck, an expected launch in the Brazilian market”, he said Juliano Cheng, sales manager for BYD forklifts in Brazil.
Alongside another model in the line, the RTR 16 It has a load capacity of 1.6 tons and is now available on the market. Both have a 3-stage panoramic mast, 80 V voltage, a tower up to 11.5 meters high and a charging time of less than 1.5 hours.
Another point highlighted by the company is that BYD electric forklifts guarantee autonomy for three shifts, with partial recharges (without memory effect), allowing full recharge in up to two hours, compared to eight hours for traditional lead-acid ones. “Using a single battery and fast charging reduces operating costs and increases productivity.”
For Henry Antunes, Director of Sales and Marketing at BYD Brasil, the manufacturer's logistics solutions bring great benefits not only in reducing costs in fleets, but also respecting the limits of the planet and, in particular, helping to reduce carbon emissions, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

BYD eT7 12,220 Electric 100% Truck
Another attraction is the 100% Multivocational Electric Truck BYD eT7 12,220. The vehicle has 230 km of autonomy and is capable of operating in a range of applications, mainly among companies committed to reducing carbon emissions. The model has a total gross weight of 12 tons and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery.

“Today we are global leaders in the manufacture of electric vehicles, with more than 3 million units delivered. Intermodal 2023 will be another opportunity to show the Brazilian consumer BYD’s innovative products”, he pointed out.
BYD Yuan Plus EV
The exhibition of products from other segments in which the brand operates in the country will also be confirmed. This is the case with the recently launched BYD Yuan Plus EV. The 100% electric midsize SUV is the first A-Class model built on the brand's e-Platform 3.0.
Furthermore, visitors to Intermodal 2023 will discover the BYD Integrated solution, composed by photovoltaic modules, hybrid or off-grid inverters, lithium batteries and electric vehicle chargers.
“Intermodal is one of the main events in Latin America when it comes to logistics and cargo transportation. And some of our products serve these stakeholders.
