The mayor of Campos (RJ), Wladimir Garotinho, announced the installation of 20 photovoltaic plants in the municipality, located in Serra da Mantiqueira. The investment of R$ 200 million is from 3E Energy, a company specialized in projects in the electrical sector.
“This is our city growing, attracting companies and generating opportunities. During the works, 2,000 jobs will be created. We will continue to seek partnerships to develop the municipality”, highlighted the mayor.
The meeting was attended by Mário Silva, Secretary of Economic Development, Felipe Knust, Undersecretary of Development, Concessions and PPPS and the Undersecretary of Private Works Licensing, César Romero.
According to 3E Energy, the financing company responsible for the project, the planning for Campos do Jordão was carried out by the multinational from design to implementation.
According to Mário Silva, the project represents progress for the city. “We are going to generate jobs, using the most modern technology, in a renewable energy project, benefiting the environment and strengthening the economy”, highlighted the executive.
The projects are in the preliminary documentary licensing process, according to Romero, and will be analyzed by bodies such as the Finance and Planning departments. The implementation of the units will take place in a staggered and gradual manner.
