For Alexandre Borin, director of Latam Distributed Generation, the investment in increasing production capacity shows Canadian’s vision of the future. “Canadian wants to remain among the biggest players global players in the supply of photovoltaic modules”, highlighted Borin.
“The introduction of new technology Topcon N-type Together with the verticalization of production, it will bring more availability and more diversity in the product portfolio to serve both distributed generation and large energy projects. Utility in the world and especially in Brazil where Canadian has the largest structure among all manufacturers”, he added.
“With this investment in production capacity, added to the verticalization of the supply chain and technology applied in the 210 mm cell and Topcon, Canadian Solar will continue to be one of the leaders in the supply of photovoltaic modules for Utility Scale projects in Brazil and Latam, capable of meeting all demand in the region with the most advanced technology for high power modules reaching 700 W, thus reducing the cost of BOS in project implementation”, he added.
