The 3rd edition of Canal Conecta – the already traditional Canal Solar congress – is coming with the aim of qualifying professionals in the solar energy sector and providing a networking space to exchange contacts and knowledge.

The event, which will be held in Recife (PE), on the 14th and 15th of May this year, features several current themes of fundamental importance for the country, such as the restrictions imposed by the transmission system on wind energy and solar energy in the Northeast region.

The theme will be just one of the lectures that will be held over the two days of the event, which will take place at the Recife Events Center, located at the FPS (Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde).

The lecture will be given by José Wanderley Marangon de Lima, advisor to INEL (National Institute of Clean Energy) and president of Marangon Consultoria & Engenharia.

Within this subject, the specialist will answer questions such as:

  • What is the outlook of the current system and the consequences of the August 15th event?
  • Will future prospects with the new investments planned and already contracted in transmission auctions change this situation?
  • What solutions can be implemented by generators to minimize these impacts?
  • Can the solution via storage or hybrid power plant change the way we generate in the Northeast region?
  • What does hydrogen and off-shore wind power look like?

According to Marangon, Canal Conecta is an event that brings important insights into centralized and distributed solar generation and its interaction with the country's electricity and energy sector. “It is an important event for those who want to have a broader vision and shape the future of the segment,” he said.

The first two editions of Canal Conecta were held in the State of São Paulo, in Campinas and in the capital of São Paulo, in 2022 and 2023, respectively, at the Unicamp Convention Center (State University of Campinas) and in the CREA-SP auditorium (Council Regional Engineering and Agronomy of São Paulo).
