ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved last week, in a meeting, the opening of a Public Consultation to discuss the proposal for a Periodic Tariff Review of the distributors Energisa Acre and Energisa Rondônia. For more information click here.
According to the Agency, residential consumers served by Energisa Acre may see an increase of 20.22% in their electricity bill; low voltage customers have a percentage of 20.86%; and high voltage consumers an increase of 27,31%.
Residential customers served by the distributor Energisa Rondônia may see an increase of 14.36% in their electricity bill; low voltage consumers a percentage of 15.23%; and high voltage customers an increase of 19,64%.
If approved, the new rates will come into effect from December 13th for approximately 285 thousand Energisa Acre consumer units, and for 697 thousand consumer units in 52 municipalities in Rondônia Energisa Rondônia.
The in-person Public Hearing for Acre will be on October 5th in Rio Branco, and the session for Rondônia will be held on October 11th, in Porto Velho.

According to ANEEL, “the indices were impacted mainly by costs with sectoral and energy distribution charges, and by financial components”.
“The process will also define the limits of the continuity indicators Equivalent Duration of Interruption per Consumer Unit (DEC) and Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit (FEC) for the period 2024 and 2028 for the concessionaire”, said the Agency in a statement.
