Comerc buys plants from Energea Global and BTG Pactual for R$ 200 million

Company intends to expand its operations in the distributed generation sector

A Commerce signed a contract with the BTG Pactual and the Energea Global for the purchase of photovoltaic plants located in Minas Gerais for R$ 200 million. The announcement was made this Monday (24).

The agreement includes the acquisition of all the shares of an SPE (specific purpose company) that owns the capital of Energea Salinas Geração, Energea Pedrinópolis, Energea Patrocínio and Energea Três Pontas.

According to the companies, the plants are in the final stages of construction. Comerc stated that the purchase is in line with the company's strategy of expanding its operations in the DG (distributed generation) sector, contributing to the expansion of its activities in the state of Minas Gerais.

Also according to the company, with the acquisition its installed capacity will be 28.5 MWp after the construction of the projects is completed.

Emphasizing that the closing of the transaction depends on the implementation of usual conditions for transactions, as established in the Agreement, including, without limitation, obtaining approval by the Where (Administrative Council for Economic Defense).
