A solar energy approaches the mark of 25 GW of installed power in G.D. (distributed generation) in Brazil, with more than 2.1 million connections in operation. Among the technologies that make up a system, photovoltaic modules are one of the most prominent.

In the first half of this year alone, more than 7.8 GW of solar modules were imported into the country, according to a survey by the consultancy Greener. However, you Do you know how it is manufactured?

To answer this question, the Canal Solar traveled to Cáscavel (PR) to visit the Sengi manufacturing unit, a Brazilian manufacturer of photovoltaic modules from the Tangipar group.

O space opened in October last year and has a capacity of 500 MWp per year. On site, they are manufactured more than three thousand photovoltaic panels per day, which represents 63 GWh of clean energy generation annually.

Each process Manufacturing takes around 25 seconds, encompassing assembly, transformation and inspection. The total investment made by Sengi was R$ 220 million.

According to the Sengi, the industrial unit has an international presence and annual revenue of close to R$ 3 billion. Three lines of solar modules are manufactured in the space, all with a 25-year performance guarantee and a 12-year product manufacturing guarantee.

The Amazônia line has a power range of 525-550 Wp, 21.3% efficiency and 144 cells. The Amethyst has a power range of 580-600 Wp, 21.2% of efficiency and 120 cells, while the Citrino has a power range of 645-665 Wp, with 21.4% of efficiency in its 132 cells.

At the video below, produced by our reporting team, You can see step by step how the entire manufacturing process is done of the main component that constitutes a solar energy system.
