The E-business Park business complex, located in the Lapa neighborhood, in the west zone, plans to invest around R$ 25 million by 2030 to have 30 thousand square meters of the roofs of the buildings on site with solar panels.

Since July, the E-business Park has had solar energy on 630 square meters of roofs, generating 135.49MWh per year. By the end of this year, the forecast is to install solar energy panels on another 632m² of roofs, generating 147.94MWh/year.

“The complex has, in addition to the 30 thousand square meters of the project, another 20 thousand square meters of roof available to explore, that is, the project has the capacity to grow and reach 50 thousand square meters of roof of the complex's buildings with solar panels. ”, explains businessman Sidney Angulo, director of E-business Park.

Currently, the complex's average monthly expenditure on electricity is R$ 375 thousand. Electricity consumption is approximately 9,000 MWh per year. Around 8,000 people pass through the project daily, including employees and visitors.

“In principle, all solar energy generated will be used in the project itself, getting closer and closer to our prediction of zero carbon emissions by 2030”, emphasizes Angulo.

With a campus format configuration, the E-business Park has 160 thousand square meters in a gated community, 120 thousand square meters of leasable area for corporate offices, forest and green areas with more than 2,000 cataloged trees and houses offices of companies such as EDP, Lenovo , Teleperformance and Nokia, in addition to the studios of cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa, creator of Turma da Mônica
