The last day of Intersolar South America 2021 also brought technological news to the Brazilian photovoltaic market.

The team at Solar Channel is covering the event and brings all the details of the largest fair in the Latin American solar sector. Stay tuned for our live updates throughout the three days of exhibitions

Residential inverters

Inverter manufacturer Sungrow launched a line of residential inverters at the fair, consisting of SG2RS equipment with 1 kW and 1 MPPT, SG6RS in versions of 3 kW, 4 kW, 5 kW and 6 kW and with 2 MPPTs. There is also the SG8RS model of 8 kW, 9 kW and 10 kW with 3 MPPTs.

All models are compatible with new module models available on the market without the need for clipping. Furthermore, the manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty for the equipment and a service center for assistance in the city of Osasco (SP).

Sunways Hybrid Inverters

Inverter manufacturer Sunways launched several inverters for the Brazilian photovoltaic market during Intersolar. Among them, its new single-phase hybrid inverters from 3 to 6 kW, which will be available in Brazil from January 2022.

In the residential segment, the manufacturer launched the STS single-phase line with models up to 11 kW with an MPPT input. In the commercial segment, it launched the STT inverter line with up to 60 kW. The manufacturer's industrial line consists of STT inverters with up to 125 kW.

Off-grid investment

Aiming to expand the portfolio of equipment for off-grid systems, the distributor WDC invested in energy storage systems from Unicoba and lines of lithium-ion batteries and charge controllers, as well as charger inverters and off-grid inverters from Victron Energy.

Inverter with a difference in the market

Hypontech, a company that manufactures photovoltaic inverters, brought its inverters to Intersolar 2021 with differences in relation to products on the market, as the equipment has a starting voltage of 50 V, resulting in greater energy generation, as it starts earlier and ends later power generation.

In addition, all of the company's inverters have 50% overhead, with the exception of the 5 kW and 6.5 kW inverter models that have 40%. And also, all inverters are designed to withstand all overvoltage that may occur on the power transmission line.

Products for integrators

Solar equipment distributor Helte launched Helius, a platform that aims to help integrators in the sector to generate the pre-sizing of a photovoltaic system project during the first visit to the site, facilitating the creation of a more accurate budget for the end customer . The company's portfolio includes equipment from inverter manufacturers Solis, GoodWe and Deye, and module manufacturers AE Solar, BYD and DAH Solar.

Technology attraction

An attraction of the fair is the drone exposed by photovoltaic equipment distributor Go Solar, The technology has been on the market for a few months and has thermal reading characteristics, which makes it easier to read any hot spots, in addition to the benefits in sizing photovoltaic projects, as the images captured by the equipment are of very high quality.

Newcomer on the market shows its potential

Esfera Solar, a distributor of photovoltaic equipment, entered the solar energy market this year and, during the fair, closed an agreement with two more brands of inverters that arrive to add to the company's portfolio in 2022, which seeks to “solarize” Brazil. One of the new features brought by the company to the event were the Sofar inverters, which work with the entire single-phase and three-phase line.

  1. It was an excellent job covering the entire event and the intersolar was spectacular for all of us.
    Congratulations to all of you!!!
In the end, I participated in the draw for 6 modules and 6 inverters from Enphase, promoted by FortLevSolar and I was drawn with these gifts.
