O World Energy Day, celebrated today (29), brings several reflections on the topic. Established in 1981 by UN (United Nations), the date takes on a new look with the urgency brought by climate change and the rise of technologies designed to reduce the use of fossil fuels, reduce greenhouse gases and the urgent search for energy transition.

A great ally and a great bet for governments to achieve energy transition, is the use of renewable energy, such as solar, wind It is hydroelectric, among others.

With these sources in use, it is essential to look into the search for technologies that enable more and more renewable energy become dominant in the energy matrix of countries to the detriment of fossil energies, such as natural gas, mineral coal and oil.

O Brazil is the country with the cleanest energy matrix in the world, based on hydropower (54.22%), the country is a source of lots of sun (6.88%) and plenty of wind (15.12%). According to the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) website, the energy matrix has 84.53% of renewable sources and 15.47% of non-renewable sources.

This matrix favors the country, which is naturally renewable and makes it an important actor in this scenario. The Brazilian target under the Paris agreement is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 37% by 2025 in relation to 2005 levels. For 2030, the reduction perspective is 43%, also in relation to 2005.

According to conservative estimates, released by ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association), the installed capacity of solar energy generation Brazil is expected to grow by 9.3 GW this year, an increase of 26% in relation to current power, reaching more than 45.5 GW by the end of next year. Currently, the source already has more than 43 GW installed, with more than 4 GW in the first four months of this year alone.

In this context, the installation of photovoltaic systems in homes and also through subscription. One way to popularize the use of clean energy and contribute to achieving vulnerable populations The electricity.

ABSOLAR also projects that the photovoltaic industry can reach the R$ 38.9 billion this year and could generate more than 280 thousand jobs, in addition to capturing more than R$ 11 billion To the public safes.

Therefore, clean and renewable energy is growing to maintain the future of the planet, the quality of life, jobs and autonomy through electrical energy. An example of this inclusion is the Light for All Program, which is made using solar energy and has an investment of around R$ 62 million and will benefit around 10 thousand people and various community facilities, such as schools.
