ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) intends to readjust the electricity tariffs of the Elektro concessionaire by 10.25%.

Next Wednesday (7), the regulator will hold a public hearing to discuss the issue with society, in the Events Room of the Class Hotel, in the center of Rio Claro (SP).

ANEEL calculates that the average effect of the readjustment reaches 10.73 in low voltage (houses) and 3.20% in high voltage (industries). The company serves 2.9 million consumer units in the states of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul.

“The items that had the greatest impact on this process were the inclusion of financial components (…), in addition to costs with sector charges and energy transport”, says ANEEL.

The definition of the corresponding limits of the quality indicators for service provision will also be discussed on the occasion: DEC (Equivalent Duration of Interruption per Consumer Unit and FEC (Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit) of the company, for the period from 2024 to 2027.

The hearing is linked to Public Consultation No. 017/2023, which receives contributions until 7/10/2023. Suggestions can be sent to the respective emails:

ANEEL explains that the average effect of high voltage refers to classes A1 (>= 230 kV), A2 (from 88 to 138 kV), A3 (69 kV) and A4 (from 2.3 to 25 kV). For low voltage, the average includes classes B1 (Residential and low-income residential subclass); B2 (Rural: subclasses, such as agriculture, rural electrification cooperative, rural industry, public rural irrigation service); B3 (Industrial, commercial, services and other activities, public authorities, public services and own consumption); and B4 (Public lighting).
