Eletrobras sent a statement this Wednesday (01/02) informing that will contribute a total of R$ 883 million in projects to revitalize river basins of the area of influence of Chesf and Furnas, as well as for the structural reduction of energy generation costs in the Legal Amazon, in addition to improvements in the navigability of the Madeira and Tocantins rivers. This value is the result of applying the IPCA, since the date of signing the contracts, June 17, 2022, to the total nominal amount of R$ 875 million.
The contributions take place within the scope of the company's privatization, with amounts broken down from R$ 230 million to Furnas, R$ 295 million to Eletronorte and R$ 350 million to Chesf. “Eletrobras reinforces its commitment to actions with a strong positive impact on socio-environmental issues, decarbonization and sustainability,” said the company.
Actions
In another statement to shareholders, the company informed that it will publish the notice of incorporation of all shares issued by subsidiaries Chesf, CGT Eletrosul, Furnas, Eletronorte. Shareholders holding preferred shares (PNA) will be able to exercise the right of withdrawal within 30 days from February 1st, that is, until March 2nd, 2023. Shareholders who exercised the right of withdrawal will receive, as reimbursement, the amount of R$ 48.5179 per PNA Share.
