Solar energy is already becoming a routine in the lives of Brazilian consumers. As is the case of Alexandre Muhlenbruch, owner of Alemão Molas, a workshop specializing in springs, located in Ponta Grossa (PR).

In order to reduce electricity costs, the entrepreneur decided to invest in solar power to supply three properties and is achieving monthly savings of R$ 3 thousand.

“I concluded that it could be the most appropriate source to resolve the issue and I discovered that I would be able to supply my company, my home and my son's residence in a more economical and sustainable way”, he highlighted.

“In fact, with the amount saved, I am closing the entire workshop area with a wall, an investment that until then I had left on the back burner. The next step is to expand customer service and, for this, I will build another shed – a contribution that I will make soon due to the breath I gained with the reduced monthly bill”, added the businessman.

According to Allan Portugal, franchisee of the Blue Sol network, the company responsible for implementing the project, a 3,600 kWh plant was built to meet the energy consumption of the projects.

In total, 82 photovoltaic modules were installed at the company Alemão Molas. The system is responsible for supplying both the commercial establishment, whose electricity bill reached R$ 1,600, and the two residential properties, which had bills of, respectively, R$ 1,000 and R$ 400. The contribution made was around R$ 100 thousand.

“With this designed system, Muhlenbruch had all of its energy consumption met and now only needs to cover availability and public lighting costs. This means, in practice, that the customer is able to use the amounts that would be used monthly to pay the electricity bill to pay off the financing made for the installation of the plant”, analyzed Portugal.

Furthermore, he highlighted that, after payment, the entrepreneur will have at his disposal a solar system with a useful life of approximately 30 years. “If we do a calculation, we can say that at the end of this entire period he will have saved close to R$ 1,828,483.93”.

“With this amount, he will be able to invest in expanding his own business, make other investments or purchase goods and other consumer items, generating an income effect and benefiting the local economy”, he stated.

With the photovoltaic system installed a year ago, Alemão, as he is known, also highlighted the benefits of the solar source, which go beyond his pocket. “Now, I can continue providing quality springs and services to my customers with a much lower environmental impact. It’s interesting to see how people recognize and admire this initiative, as well as wanting to know more about it”, he concluded.
